Welcome to League and Casual Play, offering all skill level players more opportunities to get out on the course, have fun and make new friends! Sign up for your best matches by following the guidelines below:

Par League & Casual Play (Skill Levels 1 & 2)

Here’s a great opportunity for the newer golfer to actually play on some of the shorter 9-hole golf courses and learn to use a score card, learn basic rules and etiquette, keep up pace of play, and pick up the ball from time to time so that you’ll have some fun!  

• Mondays at Land Park:  Starting April 6, Drop-in between 4:45 – 5:10

• Sunday Travelers at various short 9 hole and executive courses:  Tentatively plan on one Sunday a month at courses around the area, with each month being at a different course.  Dates and locations will be published in the weekly e-blast newsletter.

• Saturday Executive League:  Antelope Greens, Saturdays in May and June, 4 – 6 sessions.  Pre-payment will be required.  Watch the weekly e-blast newsletter for more information as it becomes available.

Birdie Leagues & Casual Play  (Skill Levels 2,3,4) 

These leagues or for members who want to play on a more regular basis and learn some of the competitive formats while still playing in a “casual” setting.

• Weeknight Eclectic:  Tuesdays April 14, 21, 28, and May 5    Arcade Creek/Haggin Oaks Complex, tee time 5:14, Four week league, keep track of your best score for each hole over the 4 weeks, prizes given for the lowest Eclectic score.  Cost: $65 ($53 with Haggin Senior Card) includes greens fees and prizes. • Casual Sundays:  Two Sundays a month throughout the playing season,  tee times will be made around the area for 18 hole play.  Notice of play will be posted in the weekly e-blast newsletter, contact for Casual Sundays is Joella Mueller.

• Summer Saturday Eclectic:  Play 9 holes Saturday evenings July 11, 18, Aug 1, 8, 15, 22, 2009.  Tee time: 4:45  Arcade Creek/Haggin Oaks Golf Complex.  Keep track of best score on each hole over the 6 week league.  Prizes awarded for best eclectic scores.  Social gathering immediately following play each week in Course coffee shop, meet and greet with all players of this league and Saturday Mix and Match Competitive League which will be coming off the MacKenzie 18 around the same time.

• Camellia Cup II:  Come and experience a new type team play seen in the various Cup events such as the Soleheim and Ryder Cup.  3 weeks of Competition, Wednesdays July 1, 22, Aug 12.  Arcade Creek/Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, 5pm. One week of Four-ball (two person best-ball), one week of foursomes (two person alternate stroke) and one week of singles competition.  League members will be divided into 2 teams for this competition. With points awarded for each match format.  Cost is $55 regular/$46 senior card holders, which includes greens fees and awards.  Watch for additional information and registration in upcoming e-blast newsletters and on website.

Eagle Leagues  (Skill Levels 4,5)   (All players must have a handicap)

These are the competitive leagues, using various formats such as team and partner play. Members with established handicaps prior to registration and who have time to commit to regular play are invited to join.

• Sunday Twilight Match Club:  Timbercreek Golf Club, March 22, 29, April 5, 19, May 3, 31, June 7, 2009.  Tee times starting at 12:30pm.  Two person best-ball, matchplay.  Cost:  $44.00 Greens fees/Cart due at course each week of play, $15.00 prize fund due at first day of play. • Spring Weeknight Mix and Match League:  9 holes, Arcade Creek/Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, Tuesdays April 14, 21, 28, and May 5.  Team match play, individual points, play with different partners every week.  Sign up as individuals, Cost is $65 regular and $53 Senior card holders, includes weekly greens fees and prize fund.  Watch weekly e-blast newsletter and website for registration.

• Summer Weeknight Four-ball Match Play:  9holes, Mather Golf Course, Mondays, May 4, 11, 18, June 1, 8, 15, 22, 2009.  Two person best-ball match play, sign up with your partner.  Watch for registration information in upcoming e-blast newsletter and on website.

• Summer Saturday Mix and Match League:  Allister MacKenzie Course at Haggin Oaks, Saturday afternoons, starting at 2:30pm, July 11, 18, Aug 1, 8, 15, 22.  Team and individual points, play with different partner every week.  Sign up as individuals.  Cost is $36.50 Greens fees w/cart per week, $15.00 prize fund.  Registration information will become available later in summer, watch e-blast newsletter and website for more information.

• Camellia Cup I:  Cup format with 2 weeks of four-ball, 2 weeks of foursomes and 2 weeks of singles matches.  Wednesdays, Arcade Creek/Haggin Oaks Complex, 5 p.m., July 8, 15, 29, Aug. 5, 19, 26.  Cost $100 regular/$82 senior card holders, includes greens fees and prizes.

• Fall Twilight Stableford:  Sundays, Sept 20, Oct 4, 11, Nov 1.  Wildhorse Golf Course, Davis, CA.  1:30 1^st tee time.(12pm on Nov 1)  Cost: $40 per week due at course, $15 prize fund.  See upcoming e-blast newsletter and website for additional information and registration.
